this is illegal.. simply call your DOT department of transportation licenseing division..
they have legall mumbo jumbo on there sight to make it sound legit as with any scam..

FOR all you would be car dealers.. want to make real money simply copy there exact business model if its "legal" get a real dealers license and set it up as a LLC and sell "dealers license's" off of a cheap template site as they are attempting to do!! you could do it in a matter of hours..

www.auto-auction-access.com SCAM!!
www.dealerauctionaccess.com SCAM!!

I know these two websites for sure aren't legitimate. These two sites are from the same company. If you are a legitimate company why do you need to have two websites?

They don't tell you everything up front.

First: The State of Indiana - Secretary of State requires a "wholesale" dealer to sell a minimum of 120 vehicles per year to keep their license.

Second: There is no such thing as a "dealer license hosting facility" that the State of Indiana has working underneath them.

Third: A "wholesale" license issued by the State of Indiana means that you can only buy/sell from other motor vehicle dealers. You CAN NOT sell to the public.

Fourth: This so called company basically rents you a location in the state of Indiana that DOES NOT even meet the State of Indiana's minimum requirements for a licensed wholesale dealer. Look up the proposed location of the dealer license on www.googlemaps.com It looks like a large barn or warehouse!!! This company claims to have over 100 offices here! I highly doubt they have 10 parking spaces for each wholesale dealer license being held there (as required by the State of Indiana)

Another company is Modern Day Motors located in Ohio. It is owned by Rob Hedrick and his wife Patti Hedrick. They took $1500 from me and sent me an outdated plate that I could not use and never signed me into any auto auctions. Beware of these two... Patti and Rob Hedrick will RIP YOU OFF..! Stay away from Modern Day Motor Cars, Wadsworth Ohio and Modern Day Motors, Uniontown Ohio.

Subject: Important Message- Company Status

I would like to address the happenings the last few days in regards to the status of the company and finances. I learned last week that last year an ex broker informed an eviction court that he was receiving regular paychecks from my company. A court ordered garnishment on his pay was totally not expected nor prepared for. The status of the company is fine. We are in fine standing with the state and the auctions. However, I would recommend not selling anything back through the auctions until I have things straightened out. I am in the process of demonstrating how this broker was paid in order to remedy this situation. If you currently are waiting on check reimbursement, I simply ask for your patience. This has affected my business funds in a drastic way and I am working feverishly to correct it. I will be speaking with some of you individually this week regarding any funds you may be waiting on and what I can do to help. I apologize for this problem but expect to have it resolved soon.

Best Regards,

Chris

The Indiana wholesale license is not a scam or bad, its just some people out there make it that way. The State of Indiana requires a Wholesale Car Dealer to have a 10 x 10 furnished office space and their certificates and licenses to be kept current and posted on their office wall. That office is their official place of business and they have to receive their business mail there. A wholesaler is NOT supposed to sell to the public. They are supposed to only sell to auctions or other dealers. This license is also what is used for exporting vehicles. You can also use this license to get into DEALER ONLY auctions nationwide, and sell at public auctions. It is a great license for mechanics to have. They can buy a car at auction needing repairs, do the repairs and resell it at auction or sell the repaired vehicle to a dealership. You can take a salvage vehicle, have the repairs done and turn it into a "rebuilt" title under your Indiana license. Then sell it back at auction as rebuilt. These are true wholesalers and they need this license. They do not need a retail lot for this purpose, just an official place of business. Then people started jumping on the bandwagon, getting the license and "curbstoning" - which is selling them on the street. Those are the ones giving this license a bad name. You cannot retail cars unless you have a retail license.

Also giving this license a bad name are some of the "landlords" per se. They want to collect rent and sign someone up, but do not disclose to the new tenant that the license is not for use to sell to the public or that you have to sell 120 cars.

I work at one of these places. We run ours the correct way. I know some of my guys are out there curbstoning, but we communicate as much as we can about the "right" way to do this business. They eventually get audited and shut down and I try not to say "I told you so." The Secretary of State is now auditing these guys and trying to crack down on curbstoning.

I hate when people think it's a scam - the license is not. The people who abuse it are.
